Chinese Circles


Chinese characters originated as drawings that resembled the word they represent. Over thousands of years however they have evolved into simpler to write yet less recognizable forms.

There are some very interesting movies on YouTube showing the evolution of animals and other items into modern Chinese characters. However here are a few observations that from an English speaker's view seem a bit odd.


How much alcohol over the generations was involved in this one? How did we get from O to that?



My comments are the same square and triangle, but oddly enough cirlce looks more like a square than square does?
