The cheapos at Apple

5/14/2007

As I blogged a few months back I have a Mac Mini that I run XP on. The Mac Mini's are overpriced, that much I knew. But I really needed something small, and quiet. Considering how overpriced they are, what I discovered about my Mac Mini today is horrifying.

I have been pretty happy with my Mac Mini. So much so that it had just about overcome my negative opinion of Apple based on my IPod experience. But take a look at this excerpt, with my highlights.

In case you missed it, the Mac Mini comes with a drive that can read DVD's, but can only burn CD's! Where in the world did Apple find such a device? Who would want such a thing? At such a premium price a real DVD burner should be included. Even if it added yet another 15 Euros to the price, it would be worth it. But instead users are now left to spend a lot more to replace the whole drive if they want to burn DVD discs.
