Looking for an Outlook replacement

Outlook is a case study in voracious memory consumption. I desperately would like to find a replacement. My requirements are simple, but have been elusive for years.

Requirements

• Support secure POP3 and secure SMTP. Secure IMAP would be nice as well. I do not need to connect to Exchange.
• Ability to import all of my contacts and mail from Outlook. Contacts must include all notes, including embedded messages and files. No data loss is acceptable.
• Ability to synchronize mail and contacts with a Windows Mobile 6 phone.
• Must not use more memory than Vista, or even XP for that matter. Even without plugins, Outlook regularly consumes more RAM than any other application on my system and 125+ MB of use is typical.
• Must support multiple accounts
  

Wish List

• Portable Application - If the application, or at least the data store is portable or easily moved between a two computers. Only one computer would be used at a time and data synchronization would be my responsibility.
  

Suggestions

Suggestions welcome! In the past I have tried Poco, Barca, and Thunderbird several times. They come close but cannot meet all the requirements.
