New slide speed record to be set at TechEd Asia
8/5/2008
I am widely known as a person of not many words and am often accused of sending "cold" e-mails because they are so short and to the point. I also use slides extensively in my sessions, and frequently they have no or just a few words on them. I once delivered 150 slides in 75 minutes and the session was not rushed, and very comprehensible. I guess records are set to be broken.
My localization talk at TechEd Asia next week currently is currently 208 slides. 75 minutes, that is nearly 3 slides per minute.
Will it be comprehensible? Yes. Will I sound like Mickey Mouse on Red Bull? No.
If you will be at TechEd Asia, be sure to catch this session.
Update
The Olympics were going on at the same time as my session so I told the audience we were going for a speed record. No only did I present more than 200 slides in a 75 minute slot, but we started 10 minutes late. So it was actually done in about 65 minutes, and it went very well. In fact this session was one of the top rated sessions at TechEd Asia!
