Small Windows 2008 Firewall Gotcha

This actually makes perfect sense, but if you are using Windows 2008 as a desktop you might overlook this setting. In addition, the Windows 2008 to Workstation converter forgot to include this setting.
In XP and Vista if an application is blocked by the firewall a dialog pops up. By default in Windows 2008 this does not happen. However if you are using Windows 2008 as a workstation you probably would prefer that it works this way. Fortunately it is simple to fix, and I hope the Windows 2008 Workstation converter will add this in the future as well.
Just select the checkbox at the bottom.
