Zune on 64 bit
1/1/2007
Recently I posted that it was a shame that Zune being a Microsoft product does not support XP64. It turns out its is even worse than that.
Update
Microsoft sometime much later after the Zune release has updated the Zune software with x64 support.
Hacking it
Zune does support XP64, with some small hacking of files. How
Microsoft can ship a product that does not support XP64 is pathetic, and very
bad publicity. But the fact that the software actually runs on XP64 but it is
just the installer that is at fault, is even worse. Have XP64 and a Zune? Here
is how to install it.
