Put your group on the map

I am a member of many groups that are distributed throughout the world. It has been a common request to display the members locations on a map.

In the far past we made them manually, or in more recent years put them on to Google maps. This still required someone to maintain it and locate coordinates.

Today I noticed that Yahoo groups has added applications with several in beta. One is a people map. Here is an example one I made with just two people to start.

I had expected it to automatically add the users from our yahoo group, or at least import their locations. Unfortunately it does neither, and each user has to add their own entry and location. But at least its a start, and I hope they will add these features later.
