My mother has been fully blind since I was about 5 years old. Prior to that she was partially blind. As a youth I had a part time job assisting blind people in their University Studies because of my experiences growing up.
I have retained an interest in using technology to assist the blind and other disabilities. In the late 90’s, one of the companies that I was part of hired a blind developer.
I haven’t had time to keep current in the world of software development for blind developers, so this video is very timely and really inspiring.
